May 8 2025 Business Meeting Minutes

Grand Knight David Coughlin called the meeting to order at 7:02.


The Minutes from March and April 2025 were approved unanimously.


Grand Knight Report:

1)    Family Prayer night was May 7.  Next Family Prayer night will be June 11.

2)    3 new Knights brought onboard at April Social.

3)    Spaghetti Fundraiser pushed to August 2.

4)    Knights Unanimously approved closing the motion to buy a table at the Women’s Health Center Gala.

5)    Knights of Columbus unanimously approved tabling the BINGO Appreciation Dinner until June Business Meeting

6)    Kingsley Cleanup-approx 5-7 adults participated at last cleanup.

7)    Next Social will be May 29.

8)    Quarterly Breakfast will be held on May 11.


Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Michael Gambone reports the following balances as of April 30 2025:

1)    Operating Account #1803 $5828.23

2)    Money Market Account #4963 $4724.52

3)    Charity Account #0010 $8133.92

4)    BINGO Account #3255 $5500.99


There were 10 outstanding checks as of April 30, totaling $4214.47.


 Financial Secretary:

Financial Secretary Vanoy Counts reports we have 6 new members so far this year.  We have another 6 potential new members in the pipeline to meet our quota of 12 new members.

Dan Wehby reports the following results from the April 25 BINGO

1)    Food Sales $380

2)    50/50 321

3)    Sales Packets $1979

The Council voted unanimously to table elections until the June meeting.

 

Urban Plunge:

Deputy Grand Knight Jay Heather asked for assistance in organizing the Urban Plunge sendoff meals on June 8 and July 13.  Joel D Kendrick said Ginger Grospitch had already expressed interest in preparing the meals.  Joel volunteered to Chair the sendoff meals along with Ginger.


District Deputy:

1.     Appreciation for participation with the Sacred Icon.

2.     Great turnout at Guardian School Food Drive

3.     Knights of Columbus State Convention to be held May 23-May 25.  Jay Heather and Joel D Kendrick will be Delegates.


Faithful Navigator

1.     Chalice Transfer June 1.
