Knights of Columbus Council 7399
Business (General) Meeting February 8, 2024
Call to Order - Grand Knight called Meeting to Order at 7:00.
Opening Prayer-Grand Knight led the Council in Opening Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
Chaplain Report- (Father Andy excused)
Minutes from January approved.
Grand Knight Report
Keep apprised with Council events with the Weekly Newsletter
Trustees are making progress on Dues Recovery
Social Meeting will be joined by the Assembly along with representatives of Honor Flight. The Faithful Navigator will present them with a check for $6,000.
Need volunteers for Ladamia Hall Paint touch up. Please contact Dave Coughlin.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Michael Gambone Reports:
1) Balances as of January 31, 2003
a) Council Account 1803-$1,713.66
b) Money Market 4963-$3,109.76
c) Charity Account 0010-13,926.79
d) BINGO Account 3255-$8,056.21
The Council has issued checks to assist with Parish Mortgage and Cleaning Bill, as well as DOSA Golf event.

Financial Secretary Vanoy Counts Reports:
128 Associate Members
71 Insureds
2 Honorary Members
31 Honorary Life
3 members ahead of target for this year.
Quite a few interested from latest membership drive
Motion carries to admit 6 new candidates to the Council
Trustees:
Prayers requested for Cliff and Renato.
Trustee Jay Heather working on back dues. Suggests we find better ways of communicating back dues.
Working on Officers for May
Faith Director
No Faith Director--Grand Knight Reports there will be a prayer night for Families.
Due to the death of a few Brothers who were Adorers, Grand Knight encourages taking their place in the Adoration Chapel.
There will be messaging in the Bulletins regarding Good Friday,
COR-Meets every 2nd Saturday of the Month in Knights Room
Community Director:
Dan Costello Unable due to outside appointment, however Grand Knight Lou Manz Reports:
1) Free Throw Challenge Completed.
2) There will be a Mass for persons with disabilities on February 11(10:00 Mass). Luncheon afterward.
3) Challenge Enterprise Dance will be on Friday April 12.
Life Director Report:
Dave Coughlin Reports:
1) Next St Catherine's Day at Family for Life will be 3rd Tuesday in February
2) Fundraiser April 27-fundraiser for Ultra Sound.
Hispanic Round Table:
Edgardo reports that a number of members felt disenfranchised. Never contacted after recruiting drive. Suggests reaching out to Catholic Charities for assistance with Ultra Sound.
BINGO Committee:
Cliff Plante Reports
1) 174 Attendees at Recent night. $4100 net benefit to Council.
2) Next BINGO Feb 17.
Prayer Chalice Transfer:
District Deputy Tom Scherch
1) St Phillip’s Group Likely next recipient. Feb 24, noon Mass
Degree Team:
Pete Sikora not present; however Grand Knight reports
1) Feb 7th Degree postponed, tentatively March 6.
Breakfast Committee:
Jay Heather Reports:
1) 70 people at previous breakfast.
2) It has been determined that volunteers should also pay for breakfast.
Rosary Initiative:

1) All Positive Feedback about the Rosary prior to the 5:00 and 8:00 Masses
Charity Committee:
Grand Knight Reports the committee will meet during March.

Old Business:

Communication
1) Need Hole in One Verifiers for Guardian School Charity Golf Tournament
2) Received Thank You Note from Jacob our Seminarian Also from St Vincent DePaul and Tunnels to Towers. Also St Gerard's House.
New Business
1) We need to elect delegates for the State Convention May 24-26 in Orlando. 2) Election should take place next March.
Field Agent Report
In absence of Dan Costello, Grand Knight reports that there will be another membership drive April 20 and 21.
Report of the 4th Degree:
District Deputy Tom Scherch Reports
1) Renewal of obligations on Feb 27.
2) Patriotic Rosary will be on February 19\
3) Grand Knight Reports Assembly Dues are currently due
4) Patriotic Exemplification to be help March 9.
District Deputy Report:
District Deputy Tom Scherch awards Jay Heather with Founder's Award.
Good of the Order:
Grand Knight requests prayer requests to be brought forward.
Closing Prayer:
Grand Knight Lou Manz leads Closing Prayer.
