Business Meeting Minutes July 11, 2024

Grand Knight David Coughlin called Meeting to Order at 7:02pm

June 2024 Minutes approved unanimously

Grand Knight Report-Grand Knight Dave Coughlin Reports:

1. Calling all in attendance to box food items collected for distribution under Tess Rosario's advisement.

2. The Knights have a school supply drive until August 11.

3. Social will be on July 25th.

4. Budget Committee Meeting will take place during July

5. August 13th will be Father McGivney Feast Day

6. August 16th Assumption of Mary

BINGO Committee-Cliff Plante reports:

1. Very Good Turnout at last BINGO (July 5)

2. Packet Sales $2385

3. 50/50 $282 to winner

4. Food after expenses $652

5. Grand Knight Reports that there will be a search for additional BINGO Volunteers

New Bills:

1. One New Bill for Supreme Per Capita-$547.25

4th Degree-District Deputy Tom Scherch reports:

1. Silver Rose coming to town. Mary Queen of Heaven August 4. Would like 4-5 Knights from our Council to attend.

2. Installation of Officers will be July 25th at the Social.

3. District Meeting will be on July 27.

Treasurer's Report-Treasurer Michael Gambone absent, However, Grand Knight Reports balances ass of June 30 2024:

1. Council Account-$10,541

2. Money Market-$3,007

3. Charity Account-$9,396

4. Bing Account-$3,587

5. There are almost $9200 in uncleared checks.

Financial Secretary Report-Financial Secretary David Counts Reports:

1. we need 12 new members this year. (actually 13 needed because we have one withdrawal letter).

2. Will present list to Trustees of unpaid members

Trustees-Grand Knight requests of the Trustees:

1. Find ways to better market the COR program

2. Advise what to do with all the District Awards Received

3. Help find volunteers for Social. Ginger Grospitch has volunteered to Chair the Social Committee, but needs volunteers.

Kingsley Cleanup Initiative- Grand Knight Reports:

1. Cheryl Abbott has volunteered to run the program, just needs material to be provided

2. Clarification from previous month-the Knights are responsible for the entire span from Route 17 to Blanding

Community Director-Dan Costello has written statement:

1. Next Breakfast August 18.

2. Challenge Dance will be September 27

3. Early October will be Soccer Challenge

Life Committee-Grand Knight Reports:

1. Connecticut has approved the matching funds for the Ultra Sound Machine. Further Details to follow.
