
The parents of this family met at the Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. They have been married for thirty-six years and have been members of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church since 1999. Both have been heavily involved in St. Catherine and the Diocese of St. Augustine since becoming parishioners. She began working as the Hispanic Ministry Coordinator assisting the Hispanic Ministry with programs such as an English class and a Hispanic Youth Group. She then moved on to work for Catholic Charities in its Immigration Legal Services in 2006, and eventually became Director of Immigration Legal Services in 2017.
Since moving to Oakleaf Plantation, he has become a major part of his neighborhood; helping as part of the security committee in his Homeowner’s Association. He loves music and dance and is always ready to assist at friends’ and family events with his special talents as a disc jockey. They both enjoy fishing. While she is an avid reader and gardener, he enjoys video gaming and his latest diversion, Pickleball; which he plays three or four times a week.
He works as an infrastructure consultant for PNC Bank. Both have been heavily involved with the Hispanic Ministry at St. Catherine. Together, they helped lead the Hispanic Booth at the Annual Bazaar off and on for a decade. He became a member of the Knights of Columbus in 2001 and was Chancellor of the Council from 2009 to 2011 and held multiple Director Positions throughout the years. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Hispanic Roundtable of the Council.
Their son also works at Catholic Charities and has been a participant and a leader in the parish Urban Plunge ministry. He currently serves as the Family Director for the Council.
The family strives to live out their faith through community and fraternity by assisting in events both at the Parish and Diocese.
