The Rosario Family named Family of the Month for October 2023

This couple met in Philadelphia, but were both born in the Philippines.  They have been married for 51 years and have been parishioners at St. Catherine of Siena since 1973.

He served his country for 23 years in the military and then for another 23 years as a civilian.  She worked in the medical field for over 50 years. 

They both consider themselves retired, but are active in numerous church activities, including being a Parish Council member, participating in the Adoration Ministry, working with those in need every Tuesday through The St. Vincent de Paul Society, volunteering to prepare, cook and serve the homeless through the Sulzbacher Center, working in the Bereavement Ministry, acting as Filipino-American Ministry coordinator; planning an coordinating fundraising events for parish projects and programs, representing St. Catherine as a Catholic Foundation Board member, and assisting other church ministries.  Most recently, they helped organize and pull-off the Annual Fall Bazaar.

For their hard work and dedication to their parish and their community, the Knights of Columbus recognizes Jose and Tessie Rosario as our Family of the Month for October.
